Newquay Fish Festival
Now in it's 6th year!

“The Festival gives Newquay an opportunity to showcase one of its hidden gems 'the harbour' and has proven an extremely popular event with both residents and visitors. The event takes place in September as a follow on to the main holiday period, and has been blessed with marvelous weather every year.  The practical cookery demonstrations by local chefs are undoubtedly the highlight of the festival, with hotels and restaurants being able to promote local fresh fish and shellfish and locally available produce.”

The infamous Newquay Harbour Seals make a regular appearance at the Newquay Fish Festival.

The seal family of six have become increasingly tame over the last few years and even have their own website.

There are two main pods of dolphins around the Newquay coast, a larger offshore group and a small group of families that cruise the coastline.
Blue Reef Aquarium's rockpool shows brought the beach alive with their entertaining approach to marine education.
